The teenage years are a challenging time for both teenagers and their parents as the young person is faced with forming their own identity.  This process often leads to a push and pull between parent and teenager which leads to escalating frustration and may even lead to the development of psychological symptoms.

Often teenagers need individual assistance through their difficulties and challenges.  I am passionate about assisting these young people through the transitional stage from childhood to adulthood, improving emotional regulation and insight, assisting with stress management, self-care and problem-solving skills, identity formation and self-esteem.

In some cases both parents and teenager requires assistance in which case family therapy may be indicated
